Recreation Program Documents

Recreation and Parks Department works year round to provide a wide range of safe and accessible recreational facilities and leisure time programs for participants of all ages. Whatever your interest may be, you can always find an activity or a special event to enhance your quality of life. Year round programs include: Basketball, Cheerleading, Community Center Programs, Gymnastics, Fitness, Pre-School program, Swim Team, Teen Programs, Tennis, Volleyball, Drama, Music and Dance.

The City of Middletown has thirteen parks available that can accommodate baseball, basketball, bicycling, cooking, fishing, football, horse shows, outdoor concerts, ice skating, jogging, picnics, playground activities, soccer, swimming, tennis, walking or just relaxing with the family or friends.Reservations for park facilities can be made by calling our office at least thirty days in advance. Reservations for the picnic pavilions in Fancher-Davidge, Ben & Paula Amchir Park, & Maple Hill are accepted beginning in January to reserve for dates of May 15th through Oct 15th of each year. A small fee is required. Revocable Permits are also issued for other requested use of City park property. Our Professional Staff look forward to serving you.

2013 Sports Camp

Sign up NOW for the 2013 Middletown Recreation Sports Camp! Sports Camp will have six (6) sessions this year starting the week of June 24, 2013. The 2013 Sports Camp will be located at the Monhagen Middle School, 555 County Rte. 78, Middletown, New York. Sports Camp is for boys and girls ages 6-13; and all activities will be offered according to each camper's level of ability. Camp Hours are 8:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday, rain or shine. A "Latchkey" program is offered daily from 3:00pm - 5:00pm for an additional fee. See attached registration and medical form for more details!

2013-2014 Middletown Recreation Pre-School Program

The Middletown Recreation Pre-School is now accepting applications for the 2013 - 2014 school year. The 3 year old program attends class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am - 11:30am. The 4 year old program attends classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30am - 11:30am. See attached applications for more information.

Recreation Soccer Clinic

Sign up now for our Soccer Clinic for grades K - 2nd and 3rd - 6th. The clinic will be held at Watts Memorial Park on Sundays at 10:00am (K - 2nd) and 11:30am (3rd - 6th) starting on Sunday, June 2, 2013 and ending on Sunday, July 7, 2013. The cost is $35.00 per registrant. See attached for more details!
