Vital Records
We understand that certain life events require the documentation and verification of vital records, and we are here to assist you every step of the way. Our goal is to provide you with a seamless and efficient experience in obtaining vital records that are essential for various purposes.
Our office has vital records, including birth, marriage, and death records beginning in 1881; 6 years before Middletown's first hospital (Middletown Hospital Association) opened its door in December of 1887. Over the next 124 years, the Middletown Hospital Association would undergo a number of name changes - Thrall Hospital (Tuesday, May 10, 1892 to March 12, 1929), Elizabeth A. Horton Memorial Hospital (March 12, 1929 to September 1, 2002) and Orange Regional Medical Center - Horton Campus (October 5, 2002 to August 5, 2011).
On August 5, 2011, Orange Regional Medical Center officially closed its doors and moved operations to a new hospital, Garnet Health Center, in the Town of Wallkill.
Our office still issues new birth certificates and death certificates for individuals who are born or pass away within the boundaries of the City of Middletown.
As the custodian of vital records, we recognize the significance of these documents in establishing legal identities, accessing benefits and services, conducting genealogical research, and preserving personal and family histories. We are committed to maintaining the utmost accuracy, confidentiality, and security in handling your vital records.
Our user-friendly website provides a convenient platform for you to request your vital records. Our online processing and payment center makes it fast and easy to get your sought-after records in a timely manner. Most record requests are processed and delivered the same day they are requested.
At the Vital Records Office, we understand that these documents hold immense value and are essential in various life situations. We are committed to delivering exceptional service and ensuring that you receive the vital records you require accurately and efficiently. Thank you for choosing our Vital Records Webpage as your trusted source for obtaining these important documents. We are honored to be a part of your life's milestones and are dedicated to assisting you in preserving and accessing your vital records with the care and attention they deserve.
