The Zoning Board of Appeals meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00PM in Council Chambers.

The Zoning Board of Appeals has the power to grant use variances and area variances as defined in the City of Middletown Code Chapter 475 Article VII. In addition, the ZBA also can issue variances for signs that are in excess of the Zoning ordinance.

Applications to the City of Middletown Zoning Board of Appeals are submitted according to the following process:

The Zoning Board Clerk requires the following items 30 days before the meeting:

    • Application - 10 copies
    • Plans - 10 copies

    • Zoning Interpretation: $150
    • Use Variance: $400
