PROPOSED MAPLE AVE AREA DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
ATTENTION RESIDENTS, COMMUTERS, AND PEDESTRIANS IN THE VICINITY OF MAPLE AVENUE, MERCER STREET, WARREN STREET, WEST MAIN STREET, AND CALIFORNIA AVENUE:
The City of Middletown has begun construction of the Proposed Maple Avenue Area Drainage Improvements Project. The Construction contract was awarded to Landscape Unlimited, Inc. (Somers, NY).
Construction activities began in March 2018 and work is anticipated to be complete by October 2018. Generally, the contractor is permitted to work weekdays between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Night time work is not anticipated for this project. If night time or weekend work is necessary, it will be closely coordinated with the City and will require pre-approval.
Some of the project will be constructed on private property within easements obtained by the City of Middletown. Landscape Unlimited will coordinate with property Owners when work is being performed on their property and when work will affect access to homes. All private property will be restored to pre-existing conditions prior to construction completion.
Work in public rights of way (i.e. streets) will involve vehicular periodic traffic detours and flagging operations. Pedestrian traffic detours will also be required at certain times.
